A new, modern, dynamic and pioneering festival was born in Attica putting the city of Piraeus and the Saronic islands on the international cultural map. Since September 2012 and until the end of 2015, over 80 events have been programmed, 15 symphonic concerts, 11 with chamber orchestras, 25 with chamber ensembles, 15 educational projects and lots of others, including homage concerts to the great composers, commemoration concerts and celebrating Christmas musical dramas.
We have performed educational concerts for students in Salamina, Poros and Hydra islands, as well as in Galatas town, and have collaborated with local institutions and festivals such as the Aegina International Music Festival, the Saronic Chamber Music Festival, and the Hydra Classical Festival. Among our partners, we count the Athens State Orchestra, the Piraeus Municipal Theatre, but also the open air Euripides Municipal Theatre of Salamina.
For the needs of chamber music repertory, there have been invited from Greece and abroad, numerous soloists, ensembles and chamber orchestras to perform, such as the Οrchestra di mandolini e chitarre Citta di Brescia, the Armonia Atenea, the Intrarti Orchestra, the Athenean Mandolinata “N. Lavdas”, the Camerata of the Royal Danish Orchestra, the Swedish Musica Vitae, the Estonian Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta, along with the recently established Camerata of Piraeus Sinfonia Festival.
